Sustainable electrical engineering for a future-ready world
Why choose a GHUSS consumer unit?
Certified quality and a long service lifeGHUSS stands for quality, long-term reliability and lasting peace of mind. The first generation of GHUSS consumer units carries CE marking and KEMA/DEKRA certification. The current generation builds on this technical foundation and comes with a 10-year warranty.
Depending on the selected configuration, components and application, the GHUSS consumer unit can also accommodate installations up to 125 A. This makes it suitable not only for standard home installations, but also for installations requiring a higher current capacity.
The housing is made of high-quality plastic developed for long-term use. Thanks to this strong choice of material, the cabinet has an expected lifespan of at least 50 years. This makes GHUSS a durable and reliable choice for any modern electrical installation. The combination of technical quality, warranty, material strength, and wide range of applications makes GHUSS suitable for installers and end users who do not want to compromise on safety, quality, and lifespan.
The most complete consumer unit: everything’s already includedGHUSS is the most complete consumer unit in its class. While many consumer units require extra accessories, separate entry pieces, cable glands, spacers or coupling components, GHUSS has already integrated the key features into its design. The enclosure is designed as a plug-and-play solution for installers: unpack, fit, connect and get on with the job. With integrated conduit entries, side entries, earthing options, raised DIN rail, passive ventilation, sealability and modular coupling, installers need fewer loose parts. That saves time, prevents installation errors and results in a neater installation. GHUSS is therefore not only faster to install, but also more organised, complete and future-proof. Key benefit: No unnecessary accessories. No extra hassle. Everything integrated into one complete consumer unit.
More space and a lower risk of overheatingGHUSS provides more space around and between the components. This makes installation easier and allows cables to be routed more clearly, with more room and a neater finish. The extra space helps distribute heat more effectively throughout the consumer unit. With cables and components less tightly packed together, heat is less likely to build up. This reduces the risk of overheating and helps ensure the installation operates reliably. For installers, this means faster work, easier wiring and a neater finished installation. For end users, it means a safer, more future-proof electrical installation.
Maximum conduit entries and earthing optionsGHUSS offers the most conduit entries and earthing options in its class. This gives installers maximum flexibility when routing conduits into the enclosure, distributing cables and creating a safe, organised installation. The smart positioning of the conduit entries makes it quicker and neater to connect conduits in straight runs. This makes GHUSS particularly suitable for installations where ease of installation, flexibility and future-proofing matter. Key benefit: More conduit entries. More earthing options. More freedom for the installer.
Eight smart side entries without cable glandsGHUSS has more side entries than any other product in its class: eight in total, four on each side. This lets installers feed cables in easily from the left or right, without making unnecessary changes to the enclosure. The side entries are easy to remove and feature integrated M16, M20 and M25 inlets. The smart push-out ports let you size the openings without tools. This means separate cable glands are not needed for many applications. When connecting two or more GHUSS consumer units, the removable side entries provide an easy cable route between the enclosures. This lets multiple consumer units be connected quickly, neatly and flexibly.
The strongest and most stable DIN rail constructionGHUSS has the strongest and most stable DIN rail construction in its class. The DIN rail is designed for maximum strength, allowing circuit breakers, RCBOs, main switches and other modular components to be installed securely and reliably. GHUSS also offers the most spacious DIN rail layout in its class. Its raised position creates extra space behind and around the components. This makes wiring easier, improves cable routing, simplifies installation and enhances air circulation. The DIN rail can be removed easily without tools. This gives installers quicker access to the space behind it, making installation, inspection and maintenance significantly easier. The DIN rail construction is made from high-quality polycarbonate, also known as PC. This material has a glass transition temperature of approximately 150°C and is known for its strength, dimensional stability and heat resistance.
Integrated passive ventilation and coolingGHUSS features integrated passive ventilation for improved temperature control inside the distribution board. An innovative backplate design naturally directs heat generated inside the enclosure outwards. This passive cooling helps limit heat build-up and provides a more stable operating environment for components and wiring. This helps keep the temperature inside the distribution board under control, without a fan or moving parts. The system is quiet, low-maintenance and reliable. Integrated passive ventilation therefore contributes to the safety, durability and long-term performance of the electrical installation.
Securely closing, sealable coverGHUSS has a cover that closes precisely, securely and reliably. The cover screws are threaded, so the cover can be fastened carefully and precisely. This prevents loose fastenings and keeps the distribution board securely closed during use. At the same time, the enclosure remains easy to access for inspection, maintenance or expansion. GHUSS distribution boards can also be sealed for added security, control and a professional handover. After installation, inspection or testing, the enclosure can be sealed to prevent unauthorised access. For installers, this means a neat, verifiable handover. For end users, it provides added peace of mind that the distribution board has been securely and professionally closed.
Truly modular thanks to patented technologyGHUSS is truly modular thanks to the patented technology integrated into the consumer unit. This makes it easy to securely connect multiple consumer units together. The units can be positioned in several configurations. This makes GHUSS particularly suitable for installations where space is limited, such as under a staircase, in a narrow meter cupboard or in complex renovation projects. This clever modular design allows the installation to grow easily with future expansions, such as solar panels, an EV charger, a heat pump, a home battery or additional circuits.
Available in several configurationsGHUSS consumer units are suitable for a range of installation needs, including compact installations, larger residential installations and installations designed for future expansion. GHUSS is available in several configurations, such as 6-module, 12-module, 24-module and 2x6-module consumer units.Possible configurations include:● 12-module consumer unit● 24-module consumer unit● Versions with 3 or 5 bottom cable entries● Expandable versions for solar panels, EV chargers or heat pumps
